While there isn’t much to keep you active on-site, you can head to Palo Duro, nicknamed the Grand Canyon of Texas. Here, you can drive your rig from the canyon rim to the canyon floor or explore the 50 miles of trails by foot, bike or horseback. It welcomes long-term and short-term guest and the sites are spacious enough to accommodate the biggest rigs. Every site has a nice privacy fence and a 10′ x 10′ grass patch of grass. You’ll also have WiFi, a playground, and trash service.

The campground is meticulously maintained, and the lawn is sod and sprinkler-fed to keep it lush. Security isn’t a problem as the property is in secure surroundings, plus they have cameras, an on-site manager, and screening of tenants. The retreat is relatively new, but they plan to add a host of amenities in the near future. They plan to add a pond with a vintage wooden bridge this summer and to remodel the laundry and bathhouse.
